Blueflame Exhaust

Featured Replies

Cat is only required on petrol cars for emissions. On diesels, the emissions are measured on the amount of particulates rather than the "gas" contents of the emissions, so you can legally get away with not running a cat and save yourself quite a few quid. :D

OEM downpipe and centre section will be where the restrictions lie so replacing these will buy you a bit of performance, whereas the back box is just noise and for show. :D

Chris

That single tailpipe exhaust looks nice. If it provides the same performance, I think id def consider it for the discount. Where can you get one, any links? How much is it, fitted?

Thanks

just to lets you's know noticed scorpion have a system for the fabia vrs now, but is cat back think they area on potn.com for about

Mike where's the other place selling exhausts?

cant remember the names of the top of my head but I saw them in the demon tweeks cat.

Hope that helps abit

According to tdiclub.com exhausts on tdi's dont make that much difference to performance only to sound. Saying that people say the downpipe on the furby is restricted. You want a straight through pipe no cat or silencers :D

yes the guys on tdi club are always saying that exhausts give little gain if only faster spool up and slight change in noise. without a proper remap to suit the exhaust i doubt you would see much difference on the rollers

with the blue flame and remap, I got only a few extra horses but torque increase available is quite a bit more, although obviousloy limited by clutch.

Before my car was remapped, it was kicking out over 150bhp (on jabba rollers) with Milltek exhaust, cupra intake and green filter. The difference in performance and pick-up was noticable after fitting the Milltek, but not quite as noticable as the remap...

yes mine was around the same too before remap.

as mine were done at the same time i didnt get the chance to see what the exhaust was like on the standard map.

According to quite a few people putting an exhaust on after the remap shouldnt make that much difference than getting it done prior to the remap, I have heard from a reliable ex source @ AmD that the Milltek gave 7 bhp and more than 20 lb/ft of torque but the OE clutch couldnt take it.

The biggest performance gain all vRS drivers would notice bar a remap would be an uprated clutch probably, that way a custom remap would be able to get another 20 lb/ft easily with no clutch slippage.

do you have any good places where i can get an uprated clutch from

Do a search. James from JBS has recently listed 2 types of clutches they do.

But yeah to me after a remap the biggest gain would be an uprated clutch and then a custom remap with exhaust. All this costs money :(

hey hellfire, you say you've got a audio clip of a fabia with the milltek exhaust? would it be ok to post it up on here or email it to me ? if so I can pm you an email to send it too please, would like to hear if it makes a difference to the sound.

Thanks.
