Blueflame Exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After seeing a recent sale on Ebay about a blueflame exhaust with a sports 100 cel cat for around the

I'm watching the one currently on Ebay. They look like a nice bit of kit.

It does indeed, also a bit cheaper than the Milltek system and SWMBO dad could fit the exhaust & cat for me no probs, one question - I read the Milltek review and Ross said one bit needed to be cut but then it was a straight bolt on, where does he refer to?

The old exhaust needs to be cut off, its non removable.

Matt (FabiaTDI) has a blueflame exhaust and tbh it does sound very similar to the Milltek - not too loud, just a bit more meat to the sound. For this price it's being sold at on E-bay, you can't really go wrong!

That is exactly what I was thinking mate, I am aware that both Milltek and Blueflame are well respected exhaust manufacturers so quality doesnt bother me as I know both will be of a very similar level, my main question would be whether it is possible to switch the exhaust tailpipe so that it looks like the Milltek one, and would this adversley affect performance, as I prefer the look of the Milltek system.

if you are on about the exhaust for the fabia i was the one brought it so when i get it and put it on i will tell you the differance it also said it was 90mm bore(not bad)

My concern is that from FabiaTDi's profile picture it doesnt look like the blueflame system fits the entire exhaust trim

That looks like a good price for a system with a stainless sports CAT too - does the Milltek system have one or is it a cat-back system?

Milltek also do one, but they quoted

Ok i will post some pics tomorrow.

Yes its not as sexy as the milltek. but the performance and quality of the system was more important for me than looks. Its very discrete.

If the pipes are really an issue, i'm sure a custom exhaust manufacturer could change the pipes for you.

if they are offereing free fitting as you say - its really a bargain.

We've been speaking to Blue Flame about the possibility of a few deals.

Should have more in a fortnight ;)

I think you'd be able to get a custom tail fitted.

Looking forward to hearing about a possible deal Colin. They seem to be trying to make a mark in the market, which is good for us.

Good stuff keep us posted, if the price is right i'll be the first to fit one :)

The Milltek is an extremley sexy exhaust, but for some reason I really really like the blueflame, looks very nice

yes, maybe blue flame would have sold more of these if they had been a bit more adventurous with the tail pipe design.

for me, i like it - makes the car look more unassuming...

I'm going to phone and ask if they can profile an oval tail to fit the "gap" I'll let you know how I get on.

If not im sure someone like Powerflow would be able to do a different custom tailpipe which looks like the Milltek one, any ideas if this would affect the performance?

Different tail pipes would not make a difference.

This part of the exhaust is just cosmetic. :)

Right then that settles it - Blue flame exhaust, downpipe and race spec 100 cel cat and a Powerflow (or other) tailpipe to make it look excellent :)

just to lets you's know noticed scorpion have a system for the fabia vrs now, but is cat back think they area on potn.com for about

Unfortunately it's the high flow sports cat (100 cel) that gives you the extra power according to Milltek/AmD and JBS when I called, the tailpipe/back box is purely asthetic :(

Well...we had the chance to influence this tail pipe design but no one could decided so the single round pipe was chosen as it least like to offend.

Should be able to change just the pipe design with out affecting performance.

Or just get another custom exhaust company to design one quite easily :)
