I have mounted mine on the dash on top of the lid of the compartment box.

Mine Sits in a mat on the top of the dash board and is removed with the mat or covered with a hat ,so when parked in public no low life takes a fancy to it .. Portable devices on display attract trouble !!

Rob_e how did you get the dash mount to sit in the bottom of the cubbyhole? Mine doesnt seem to have enough flat space to do it this way!

I tried mounting it on the top of the cubbyhole cover but it rattles way too much for it to be practical!!
