What dampers?

Featured Replies

Hey all im sure this has been covered many times but i would just like a quick answer, i need to upgrade my shocks as the ones in her atm are shagged. I currently have lowering springs in and just want to no should i up for upgraded dampers or go all out on coilovers?

Now the car is daily used and not my money pit i have 2 other toys for that ha, but if the coilovers are such a better mod over upgraded dampers i will save abit more what are everyones options?

thanks all

Coilovers are much better. The only downside is the harsh ride. If I was to do it again I would have had the koni fsd's.

I must admit if you find a smooth road the Coilovers are nothing short of amazing.

You could go for a new springs and shocks kit if you wanted to keep comfort. Did you have a budget in mind?

Mine are kw v1. I also have golf r32 front arb and neuspeed 28 mm rear arb, a must imo. And also polybushed throughout.

@Damian what would you recommend for best price/value set up?

@SKUD very nice i must get some upgraded roll bars, the polybushins are going in whenever im putting the top mounts and hopefully new suspension aswell. What did you think of the polybushins as a upgrade?

Polybushing the car helped the turn in. But the front bushes were buggered anyway at 60k.

I feel it made the rear end more stable in high speed corners.
