Hello Briskoda users,

My name is Mike. I live in Kent, England. I've just bought a Skoda Fabia Vrs. Just waiting for it to be delivered. Hopefully it will be this week sometime. I saw this forum on the web and thought it would be a good idea to be a part of it.

This will be my first brand new car ever!!! - I was going to buy a Skoda Fabia Ambiente and had a test drive in one and was pleasantly surprised as to how good it handled on the road. The only disappointment was the inside. It looked a bit bland and boring.

Then the salesman asked if I wanted to drive his car, which was the Vrs model. I'll never forget his words, "Take it for a spin and watch out for the Speed Cameras". At the time I thought that was a strange thing to say, but after seeing the leather style steering wheel, bucket seats and metal pedals, and feeling the power of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even 5th gear, I knew this was the car I wanted.

Wow! I can't wait!!!!!!

Cheers,

Mike

You will love the car, mine is just under 4 weeks old, and i can not stop driving it!!!!!!!!! Had a 1.9tdi comfort and a 1.4 16v prior to this and there is no comparison. I will agree the dash is a bit bland, but on a night time with it all lite up, oh those red needles ohhhhhhhhhhh :) sorry have just been for another spin......any way welcome!!!!! :)

Welcome to world of Skoda ....you'll love the car

Ha Ha Ha!!! I saw 6th gear and didn't know what to do with it. Only had 30 minutes in the car. I spent that time holding onto the steering wheel for dear life. The power was awesome....

Would have loved to have gotten onto the motorway to test out sixth.... But there will be plenty of time for that. I live 20 miles from work.

Welcome Mike :wavey:

Hooray another Kent member
