Eibach Springs

Featured Replies

Is the general consensus, Eibach Sportline lowering springs are the best for the vRS? I've been told many times they are.

Only want to drop 30mm on the standard dampers.

Any advice:)

I would say the Eibach Pro Kit (20mm) are a better bet as they were approved for use by Skoda if you are conscious about points like this

Depends what you mean by "best"?

I don't think they make "sportline" kit for the octavia. Lots of people have the pro kit.

n.b. they won't drop a vrs 30mm in my experience.

been using the eibachs for a while now,i can feel the extra grip in the corners, but it is a trade off as the are noticeably stiffer, worth it imo

As above depends what you mean by best. I have the pro kit coupled with koni fsd dampers. Ride is much better than standard, slightly firmer, and the handling is a massive improvement.

I've had ProKit and FSDs for four years but if I had my time over again I'd get H&R springs not Eibachs, because of the better ride quality (progressive rate springs).

I believe H&R Sports springs are significantly firmer than Eibach pro. I have the former with B8 shocks and whilst it's a bit jarring going slowly over ruts, overall it's very good on my mk ii Octavia.

Will have a look at the Eibach Pro and H&R.

Thanks

I believe H&R Sports springs are significantly firmer than Eibach pro.

I'd be interested in your evidence Mafuta, as in theory, progressively wound springs should ride better than Eibach's linear wound...

The H&R springs are a little firmer then the Eibach Pro but not by a lot, both are the best options when sticking with standard dampers though.
