Seen as my Octavia is off the road, it gives me plenty of time to sort her out.

I am going to be putting the PAS pump off an LCR/R32/S3 on her to sort the heavy steering due to the Rack upgrade but I could do with the PN for it? anyone know a price for a new one?

also going to put an uprated fuel pump in too ready for the BAM injectors and Hybrid K03s or K04-001(still not 100% one which way to go) again I could do with the PN for it and a price on a new one?

If I can get some BAM injectors and the fuel pump, I know the pump can just go in and the Injectors will need the map sorting out, but can it all be run with the std K03s turbo? I dont really want to buy another turbo seen as the one in it is still spot on and working fine.

Is it worth putting the LCR injectors in and mapping it?

or

Do I just keep the LCR injectors in a box out the way till the K03s turbo goes and fit the new turbo and injectors at same time and map it them?

Does andyone know where to get a steering wheel recovered? I have got hold of a R32 steering wheel and would like it in the perforated leather like std. Might leave it tho as its nearly new, looking at the dates on it lol, it was made in Nov 08 lol, I got it for £191 delivered which I thought was good, specially when its literally like new. cant wait to get it in the car, would love to put it in the fabia but dont want to disturb it as its really nice to drive a std car.

My S3/TT rack works fine and not heavy with my pump??

Also for some reason the R32 steering did not work for me in the VRS. looks great in the R32 but can't put my finger on it but just did not feel right.

It is a completely different feel to the VRS steering wheel. For a start it is much thicker and also has molded finger area at the top sides.

It could well be that it is not perforated like the VRS as stands out like a sore thumb.

The 4 bar pump part number is 8L0919051H

JBS do them for £260 inc VAT but that seems like a lot to me, it's probably cheaper than dealer prices though. I'm sure you could get a 2nd hand one for under £100.

hey buddy yes there different the vrs pump is a 90 bar pump where as the r32/lcr/TT use a 100 bar pump ;-)

I come from the age where some of my cars never had PAS , so to me i like the feel of a heavier steering. Too light and the car will want to travel in all the ruts and cracks in the road.

True I haven't driven the car yet with the new pump so will report back when I do !! As said sometimes its nice to have a slightly heavyier feel ;-)

yea they are different, I do like the heavier feel too. I am just a bit concerned it might be putting excess strain on the std pump?

will they be ok sta about? dont know how long they will be stored so might be worth leaving it for a while as I wont be doing the turbo till mine goes. or a damn good run of luck and cash lol.

Mark, what you say ins interesting, I have not yet fit it in the car but I love the thicker wheel, I like the moulds too but as you say its wht its like in the car, not too sure what you mean with the perforated leather tho? seen as its new I might just leave it. Does anyone know if the R badge is in a recess? or is it just stuck on? dont wanna take it off just in case.

anyone know where you could get a nice small vRS badge to replace the R one lol,

OH one more thing.

Anyone know what power the altinators are on the vRS?

I have been peed off for years now that with the headlights on, they dim when you open/shut windows? anyone else noticed? dont go looking for it tho as it will piddle you off too once you know its there. lol

Was just wondering if a better altinator is available that would help this?

car has done it since new as far as I can remember.

ive put that into google and it comes up 3bar????

the 8L0 919 051 H is the new ones that superseeded the B version.

I need to know tho is is the B version a 4 bar or a 3 bar that they just put a 4 bar FPR in to make it up?
