2.0 TDI Heater problem

Featured Replies

Ok finally got round to trying to sort this problem which is -

The interior heating system works fine thro all the lhs outlets with variable temps etc - the rhs(drivers side) only blows cold air at any temp setting however when in the max position it blows hot/warm.

I've tried the various setup conditions always with the above result, suggestions of a cure, or is it a dealer job?

salut

I think a visit to the dealer.....

Does not sound right so I'm with Rockhopper here: take it to the dealer.

The Fabia suffers from a similar issue, and lots of them have been affected, including my wifes car.

The electric motor on the flap valve and its positioning sensors go wrong, or get confused. Sometimes a reset of the management system can fix it, otherwise it is a very expensive repair on the fabia at around £80 parts and £300 to access anf fit. Consequently we are living with it in ours as not worth doing on a 8 year old car, when many have had this fault at 3 years old.

I hope this is not a pointer to a future common issue in the Yeti

Thanks for info the car is only 16 months old, by reset presumably you mean reset mfd to factory default if not, how?
