Arial help

Featured Replies

Hi

I am wondering is there a simple fix to this I was thinking of smaller Arial for the vrs but don't want to loose good signal. Just think the big one looks silly a bit. Pics would be great thanks

Mine was from eBay

I have the same one, no signal issues either

Honda S2000 aerial or Civic aerial fits nice too.

Me too - look for "stubby antenna" on ebay.

You end up with a bit of a gap with most of the stubby ones (VW Sharan, etc) - I found that an o-ring helps to bridge some of that gap (and hopefully stop too much crap getting in to the thread)

It's the standard one used on scuba diving cylinders, so if you know anyone that dives they'll probably have some in their spares box, or any dive shop will have them. About 12mm internal diameter.

That's smart - thanks Simon for sharing.

I went for the new Fabia one, fair bit shorter but radio reception and fit is perfect

have the same one, no signal issues either

I use the same stubby aerial from ebay, works fine, no signal lost or static ;)

Same one here, never had any issues.

Arial ? Wasn't she the Little Mermaid ? emoticon-0105-wink.gif

I could not decide on a replacement aerial

Did not like any of the stubbies

So I fitted a shark fin and there has been no loss of reception

I have a Citroen one about 8cm long :)

Buy a stubby one directly from skoda? My has the short one from factory..

Ford29... Could you post a link of where you get the shark one from please :)

I got a stubbie, from a Citroel dealer! Most of the reception is there but if I go near Docklands (London) I get some loss, depending on stations BUT I get that with the genuine aerial, too!

I keep the ond one in the boot, where I keep the warning triangle, (There is a reccess for that)Just in case I travel and need better reception.

I am not sure about the ol' sharks fin... Bit Chavvie and tricky to change over at will. It IS removeable but not instantly swappable!
