Featured Replies

Washed car the other day and gave a quick going over with pourboys qd+. When I bought car had coated with collinite wax in October. Does any of you think it need another layer?

Let's hope it's dry Sunday then. How can you tell?

When the wax begins to break down the beads become bigger, it also clings to the sides of the car more in larger beads that would normally of just run off.

So small beads are ok amount of wax and large beads means needs more wax

There's still protection on there buddy, don't know if it's the QD or the collinite. But the protection is still there, as there is still beading. When you wash it and there is no beading present then there is no protection. So there is no rush. I put a couple of layers of dodo juice supernatural hybrid on my car in september and it is still there going strong. I'll wait til this cold snap is over then give the cars a good clense and wax. If you fancy renewing your protection though go for it! I love waxing the cars!

Some QD's can destroy the beading ability of waxes

Ditch the QD and bingo....Better beading

Must admit, I use FinishKare 425 polywipe for a bit of a glitz up and restore the beading if I havent got time to wax yet. I think they have their uses, but as with all detailing products, each to their own

I waxed Mrs Stigs Ferbi today after its winter prep in November where I waxed with a coat of Collinite 915. I used Meguires Cleaner wax today, nice and shiny B)
