Just to confirm...

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just wanted a confirmation of my diagnosis on my recently acquired felly 1.3 1998. Temperature gauge basically sits at the bottom with normal driving, if we get stuck in traffic it will rise to 90 degrees and if sat for a long time it will reach 100 degrees plus but then the fan cuts in and brings it back down to 90. When out of traffic and driving normally again it drops back to bottom. I'm assuming this is the common thermostat stuck open problem but before I ordered one just wanted to see if I might be missing something, do Jorily still do the whole thermstat/housing thing together.

Many thanks.

Ian

It should sit comfortably over the 1/4 mark when driving - and you should have heat from the vents (same temperature as the surface of the sun). Felicia seems to warm up very quickly - within two minutes.

If there's no heat from the heater then definitely. Thermostat m8

Take it out, watch the thermostat fall out. If the actual thermostat isn't closing and the housing is intact, you need replace either way.

Cheers guys, I do get heat thru the vents though, not very hot just warm after driving 2-3 mins so maybe not thermostat then?
