Hi all,

Just thought I would do my first post, 1 day ago picked up my new Octavia vRS, however had one before on a 53, although some mad moment got me to change but thats another story, had been reluctant ever since but happy and back in the fold once again.

Nothing I have ever driven compares to the vRS and I have drove a fair few of cars, well it certainly feels that way

Looking forward to taking an active part in the community, possibly doing some mods.

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration. Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter

Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced insurance companies outside of the comparison sites. Everyone said policies had gone up last year but mine was still ok, but it's gone up higher than I'd like this year. I'm in my 40's, driving for 27 years, full no claims. Maybe its the same for everyone but it feel like robbery when it's a 2010 car, Skoda superb elegance, TDI, DSG. When I bought it it was about £400, got it down to £185 and its back to £300
