Do your window wipers squeak?

Featured Replies

A year or so ago I replaced my front window wipers because they 'squeaked' across the glass as if it was dry even when it was raining moderately.

So, I replaced them as they were the original ones from when the car was new (7 years old!) & all was well. The new wipers didnt produce any squeak at all even when fairly.

However, last month the wipers started to squeak really badly again. I treied cleaning the glass but this made little difference.

Rather than buy another set - is there a way or method I can banish the squeak away?

Cheers.

Wiper blades should ideally be replaced annually!

As a stop gap try cleaning the blades with vinegar and kitchen roll

One of the problems is that people fit the wrong type of blades.....one blade shound be straight (drivers I think) and the passenger one should be curved....also one is longer than the other!!!..... B)
