The difference is nick has spent 100 's and 1000's of hours perfecting and pushing the boundrys day in day out you will not find many blokes like him imo prob at the moment one of the best mappers in Europe and testiment to the cars he has mapped

Although i dunno if its the drink or if thats a ****y tone in that reply :p

Anywho, i wasnt even thinking they were telling porkie pies

I just wondered if they all say the same :smirk:

Im guessing tho full custom maps are bound to squeeze abit more from the add ons

I

Drink? Never on a school night B) - You need to look back at your first snotty comment

I was just merely sticking up for the actual tried and tested truth.

...Anyways, this thread was intended to praise R-Tech, not to dissect my cloud 9.

Peace

shut it knob cheese lol

p.s you enjoying that wrong wheel drive lol

Wonder how it's spooling the turbo up... normally they have to combine an antilag system with the launch control so it burns fuel in the exhaust manifold to get the turbo to spool up with no engine load.

Video looks good though, imagine that with a big turbo on an Octy 4x4 with Haldex blue... B)

maybe half cut but calm ;)

i'll become a **** before i get snotty bud

i was just wonderingif they were all the same and how things differ :wonder: and if it was the full custom map that got more rather than a generic

if any bud i was thinking maybe another map change B)

def not snotty :no: :D

Jabba rollers at notorious for over reading. Nick at R-tech is a top bloke, as Clive said he's spent 1000's of hours pushing the limits on the 1.8t.

Those are some impressive figures you got mate, making me think I need to go stage 2 B)

Right Wheel Drive and straight 6 goodness yes mate. Can't wait to get a de-cat and system on it :-)

Lloyd, its mainly boost leaks and weak actuators. My car has only done 50k. Nick mentioned how strong my engine was and how tough the actuator was also. As soon as mine was starting to spool the actuator was immediately opening the turbo wide open to draw a lot of air from the TIP.

I took a forge actuator ready with me just incase mine was worn. Its not something you can change during a mapping session easily, hence why you probably just got 225bhp and nothing was mentioned. Extra work and all that.

Half of the battle is having a sorted engine before getting it sorted by a mapping specialist.

mines only done 15k mate :giggle:

can i ask how much they wanted ontop the map to strip the weirdy pipes out :p

+ are forge actuators dear?

Includes custom catch can fabricated, oil pipework installed. Clean delete of everything and mapped out sensors 150 all in.

Forge actuators are around 120ish including vat and delivery. I'm sending mine back as I didn't have to use it.

:giggle: do i dare try and add up at this moment lol

so £290 custom map

£150 to do catch tank thingy and pipes and remove the unneeded crap

around £120 for the actuator :smirk: hmmm so i needs some funds maybe ;)

and around 120 mile drive :dull:

it will make more sence tomaro im sure...... whats the mapped out sensors bit bud :|

Custom maps have never been so cheap as they are now though, wasn't that long ago (2 or 3 years) you'd have to pay £400+ just for the map

im so tempted to just flash cash and go mad at the mo and go full blown stage 2 in like a day but i must stay calm.... however i do think i would let r-tech do it all for me haha :giggle:

is it worthwhile to get rid of those ancillary bits like the sai ect?

yes it is worth while less crap to go wrong imo

Why not go shark stage 2 seen as you've got there stage 1 map? Surely makes sense and will save money

gona have to see what i decide may even go down a hybrid turbo route

mines going on, on sunday

I got some dodgy geezer to do mine. Makes oil changes easier as you can get straight to the filter

well ive tried ringing them today and keeps answering but noone is there. Im tempted to do this....its a bit of a drive from Preston but im sure it would be worth it. Any other companies local to me who are good?

hang on so the people who on other threads have said you wont get over 240 bhp on ko3s now say you can if r-tech do it?:/ Fair play to r-tech they sound like a good outfit and no there stuff :)

Places have got a genuine 250bhp before, how long it will last is another matter though

Des's old car (the black one not the red devil) did over 250bhp at Impossible Performance but that was on one run, never repeated.

You mean it blew up after lol believe shark have had one up there somewhere before too, again dont think this was a long term map

I spoke to r tech but they are a long way away and the work will take 2 days. May find somewhere local.

I wouldn't want to stress the original turbo too much so a strong 220bhp map would suit me
