Felicia Estate Rear Quarterlight Replacement

Featured Replies

Arghh...having just got the boy's Felicia through the MOT last weekend its been broken into through the (now broken) offside rear door quarterlight glass. TPT&T so no glass cover on his insurance, so looks like I'm fixing to keep the cost down.

First question: I assume the estate and hatchback rear doors/windows are the same (as each other)?

The Haynes manual seems to show it being fairly easy to replace the quarterlight once the door trim is removed, any advice however on removing the trim or the job in general would be most appreciated.

I'm looking to source the glass from a breakers at the moment so if anyone knows of a likely source please let me know.

Managed to temporarily plug the hole quite neatly with some cardboard and polythene sheet, so hopefully the car won't be full of snow tomorrow morning!

Thanks guys, I think I've found the glass.

Hi fin, there's a blue diesel one up at silverlakes auto salvage in botley, all the glass is still there too, I swiped the power steering pipes off it a few days ago so I know it's still there.., it's quite easy as per the Haynes book of lies description of the job  the rear doors are the same on the hatchback and estate models

There was a White hatchback up at g r Harris in southbourne(emsworth) too but it's been a few weeks since I've been up there and they do tend to turn over their stock fairly quickly

I had several bits of that very same one at silverlake just a few days ago! i was a little worried by the un-deployed airbag unit lying on the floor... but yes as Tom says all the glass is still intact

haha small world ain't it, it was me the carefully removed the airbag from that car, then gently threw it in the back as hard as I could.... I took the steering column out of it too, plus it was me me that had the heater box... There will be nothing worth taking fro that car when I'm finished with it.. oh... And i had the radiator from that one too.
