Car wax/products

Featured Replies

Just a quick question to some of the guys who know more than I do(which isn't much). I was in a poundsop the other day and they had all different car products, tyre dressings, dash cleaner, spray wax and also normal wax and guess what it was all £1.

I was just wondering if it would be worth getting some of these products to give them a go. I do not get a lot of time to clean my black Octavia Vrs but I like it to look go.

Just looking to see what everyone thought???

Give em a go, if they're only £1 each. Most good stuff is at least £10-£30

The dash cleaner may be ok but in my experience the wax and tyre dressing won't last long at all, pay a bit extra and get some branded stuff - pop over to Detailing World for a few ideas

If you don't try these things you will never know and just because they aren't the most expensive on the market doesn't mean that they won't do the job you want them to do.........

just my opinion but I think there worth a punt.esp if you're just starting to get in to cleaning/detailing.it will let you see what kind of products you like to use without spending hundreds and then you can tweek it from there.

Well i got some interior cleaner, quick spray wax and some tyre dressing this morning and decided to try them on my Hyundai accent runabout.

The quick wax was ok but not great, but for £1 i cant complain. The interior cleaner was rubbish and he tyre dressing was k as well. So all in all not too bad for the money alhough i dont think i will be using hem omn my octavia!! I will use the rest of the quick wax spray tho, def decent value for the money!

Has anyone ever heard of using autosmart tango as a quick Wax after washing your car??

Autostart tango is a decent product. I use it for cleaning up door shuts and around the boot and bonnet shuts. Also if your car has no protection I spray it onto a wet car after I've washed it at a dilution ratio of about 9 parts water to 1 part tango then rise and it will restore beading. Useful as a quick tidy up.

I wouldnt buy any of this stuff

You pay for what you get

A £1 product is that price for a reason IMO

I use Autoglym Hi-Definition Wax. Very good product, go on to You Tube and see the result.

Its good but there are much better waxes for similar prices
