Featured Replies

hello people i know this has been breifly covered already but my exciter wire broke on the starter today ...its the small wire. the symptoms are, there is no cranking/turn over at all but you have still got dash lights.

also i have heard that the dash lights can flicker from this issue when driving aswell and in my dash it was the needles that flickerd(they illuminate red)

its a battery off and airbox out job buts its not that bad a fix at all.

must try to get a proper pug back on it though for the weather protection ...but its fixed with a standard spade terminal.

hope this helps anyone with the same thing.

it would help me if i found it.

Cheers for the heads up hopefully we won't need to use the help ;)

Exciter wire? That is part of the alternator rectifier circuit.
