Front Bulb Question

Featured Replies

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I replaced my driver side dipped beam and all was fine, a week or two later my passenger side one has gone! :(

Have I got an electrical issue or just a coincidence?

Also do both dipped beams run on the same fuse? Should I make sure the fuse hasn't gone before replacing bulb?

Thanks

I had the same issue on mine, I found replacing as a pair solved the issue.

Thanks for the reply, would you advise I replace the bulb I fitted a few weeks ago?

Thanks

If the cost of that bulb wasnt too much then yes and keep it as a spare.

If one lamp lights and other is out -chances are it's lamp. i've had problems with differing makes of lamp failing in one or other side . I now buy Lucas ones from my local Texaco -find they last quite well ,as opposed to an expensive pair that lasted a week and something like 2000 miles .

Motto - don't go looking for imaginery problems - suggest it's just co-incidence .( Unless lamps that lasted a long time before now start going pop at a rate of knots)

Bulbs usually have a life expectancy. If they are both fitted at the same time from the same batch, it would make sense for them both to give up about the same time.
