Xenons are they worth it

Featured Replies

Actually I think a lot of people think you are police ;)

I have xenons on my furby vrs and thought they were a bit crap nice to look at not nice at speed down a country lane compared to my previous furby vrs with halogen lights (which were excelent) until i adjusted my xenons correctly and oh my god what a difference well worth the money.......now:)

Xenons own.

Far better light.

And they look cool ;)

The problem with xenons is that normal main beam is cr@p compared to the dipped xenons :finger:

Unless you have a Superb with bi xenons ;)

:finger::finger: :P

I didnt think the main beam (undipped) was that bad? Perhaps it is because my lights have been adjusted properly - never had any issues with the Xenons either.

Having had uprated bulbs in my previous car I must say the undipped main beam seemed pretty excellent - if the bulbs go in it I'll uprate them nevertheless, but for now I'm pretty pleased :D

It's more that compared to the xenons main beam seems "wooly" and ill defined, without sufficient penetration (oo er Missus :D )

Mind you, thinking back to the days when I was learning to drive with a pair of Lucas 700's with 50/40w BPF bulbs :eek: Dim :thumbdwn: Shouldn't complain too much about what I have now!
