As title, i have a reversing cam i took off my old car, but its going to stand out like a sore thumb on the octy seen here.

the bora had a bigger place recess so it dont look to savage,

im looking for the ones that replace a number plate light. Anyone got 1, recommend a place to buy them? i have seen them for the fabia but not the octy on the bay.

They are/where avialable, someone did a fitting guide couple of years ago iirc

Could you maybe remove the rear boot lock and fit a cam in there? I can't remember ever having to unlock the boot manually and if the remote does fail on the boot you can always get it open from the inside.

i did think about that mr Chicken, its getting the angle down that would be the problem. would be good if there was a conversion kit.

I've got mine fitted where the boot lock is but I had to remove the whole handle/lock assembly to do it and put the boot on a solenoid release off my alarm instead,don't think I've got any close up pics but there will be some rear end pics in the link in my signature where you might be able to see it but not sure which page they are on.

Can't ya colour code it do it doesn't stick out like the chrome does? Or is it still to big?

I would be interested in having one of these! Because it takes over one of your plate lights, does it make it illegal?

As for the power, couldn't it just be attached to the existing light wiring that powers the plate light?

Here's a quick pic of mine as promised,its not brilliant as its a dodgy iphone pic and its not particularly light when i go out and in fairness it could be better cos it does need adjusting down but have never bothered to do it in over a year since replacing a faulty cam as I rarely look at it when reversing anyway but you get the idea
