Hi,

My MFD2 navigation plays CD's fine but when I use my nav disc it doesn't play I tried my mates Navigation DVD on my car but still no joy says 'CD read error' or similar?

Any ideas what it can be?

i'm pretty sure only the mfd3 (columbus/rns510) accepts dvds.

the mfd2 can only read CDs.

Skoda MFD2 is CD only for Nav, you need the Blaupunkt DX nav CD's.

That one will not work, its for the VW version of the same unit which had several hardware uprades over the Skoda one including DVD in the later versions which allowed full european coverage on the same disc. The skoda version is a regional CD (eg. UR/IRL) with each region on different CD's.

You'll struggle to find copies of the CD, since they are copy protected and cannot be copied due to the deliberatly inserted corrupt sectors.

Links or discussions of how to obtain these disks illegally will be deleted.

Will older version of them DX discs work?
