As found after a recent dealer visit, fixings not refitted down to them. Damage to rear panel, will give them the benefit of doubt as two dealers have removed that panel in the last 4 months.

Removed the rear panel to see if I could find a home for some of the loose bolts, clips etc. I found under the spare :S

yep its a bit crap when they are supposed to be the experts but end up doing more damage to your car

You really are having a run of bad luck with your Yeti. Has the dealer(s) managed to correct the problems yet?

I would make them replace every single broken panel and clip. If they kick up a fuss go straight to Skoda and tell them the dealer broke your car. That is quite simply unacceptable. Seeing stuff like this makes my blood boil - we spend what is a lot of money in anyone's book and then the "approved" dealers treat our property with an unbelievable lack of respect, care or attention to detail. More and more I get the impression that it's particularly bad in the UK...I have friends who work for dealerships in Germany and I can only imagine what would happen to a technician over there if he or she left a car in this state.

Where things like this are concerned (what many would consider to be 'minor' issues / ****-ups), I am firmly rooted in my principles. As long as people accept this kind of shoddy careless destruction, dealers and especially their service departments will just keep on getting worse and worse.

Skoda should show an interest, especially if you quote the terms of the "customer promise" on their very own website.

I would suggest even if the 1st dealer did the damage the 2nd was negligent in not telling you about it. Probably you should give them the opportunity to quietly fix it, before naming n shaming, reporting to Skoda, etc. Good luck!

Perhaps...I think dishonesty/negligence as a reward for my hard-earned money is an insult. Sure give them a chance to fix it - but the situation as it stands is already proper out of order (in my opinion).

You are very calm TP.

To me that is nothing short of a botch job. Totally unacceptable.

As above, even if it was the first dealer the second dealer should still have been able to refit the non-broken clips - the fact that they haven't would be sufficient enough for me to suspect that the second dealer is to blame.

I'd go back and demand that they put it right, calmly of course :giggle:

I had a similar problem with a Toyota main dealer many moons ago, left the car in to get the bumbers colour coded when it was only two months old. They cut the fog light wires to remove the front bumper and lost the bolts for the plastic splash guard underneath the engine. The botch job involved riveting the splash guard in place and failing to reconnect the fog lights. I discovered all of this when the fog lights weren't working a couple of weeks later and went into complain only to be met with a couldn't care less atitude from the service manager. I wasn't even given a courtesy car while they repaired it.To cut to the chase I took the car to another dealer for every service after that. The car covered 110 miles with a full service history so the first dealer lost out big time. I should have approached Toyota about the issue but couldn't be bothered at the time. If it was now then I'd be on their case straight away so my advice would be to put pen to paper and write to Skoda Uk as we pay enough for our cars to expect professional service.

None of the trim along the sides of my front seats fit together! not sure if this is a result of tow bar fitting by the dealer or just as built by Skoda? Plastic fantastic.
