Where is the brake light switch on a 2002 Octavia?

Mine has just failed I think. I'm getting one tomorrow, and I'm waiting for my Haynes manual to be delivered. Can anyone tell me where the switch is please? Many thanks.

Usually above the pedal

Its above the pedal m8 you twist it to undo. Be.,st get it from vw under a Tenner. Its a revised part

2017 octavia 2.0 tdi . smoke from exhaust, whistling noise from turbo, burning oil. smoke looks whiteish/blueish. turbo pipes all ok. burning alot of oil. no fault codes or eml lights. only light on dash is orange oil can light

Hi, The boot release switch in the tailgate keeps getting stuck. I've tried blowing it out with compressed air etc but have just purchased this part. Is the skoda scala slave cylinder concentric and located inside the gearbox for all models, or is it just the 1.5 engine which doesn't have it on the outside of hte gearbox? I'm seeing different reports about whether the gearbox needs to be removed to check or replace it on a 1.0 litre engine.

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it.
