If I get my DPF removed from my Octavia PD TDi Vrs without a power upgrade (remap) will the car run smoother, better throttle response, drive better all round or will it be the same as now.

Anyone on here had this done without a power remap

It will be slightly better all around as you theorized. Shark will be able to do that for you. I've had a map that's pretty much stock but with dpf delete at one point when I was fault finding. It's still noticeably better than stock.

Has anybody done a DPF removal as a DIY project !!, I'm going to remove mine soon, I have the map already to download to the ecu but was interested in knowing what sort of a job it is to remove, cut and empty the DPF.

There is a guide on here if you search this part of the forum. Economy maps are possible with dpf deletes.

Had a look around and can't seem to find a "guide"......guess I'll have to make one when I do mine, I've now put the map back on to take it to the "DPF" max of 205/207 BHP, need to have a look at the exhaust at the weekend and see what sort of job it is.
