Porsche Wheel Spacing On A Mk1 Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Hi peoples I am a recently new member of this forum but had a Fabia Vrs for a few months and thinking lots about getting a set of Porsche twists and wondered what spacings to fit if any? I've read the cons of spacings so want to get it right! Any helpful suggestions/links you guts could help me with much obliged

welcome to briskoda

You need 5 x100 to 5 x 130 stud adaptors so you haven't got a lot of choice about spacing! :p Most adaptors for porker wheels are circa 20mm, usually because the porker wheels also have higher offsets so need spacing out from the hub a bit.

Cheers for feedback! Adaptors I've found have spacings of 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm!

With that in mind do you think I should go for 20mm the adaptors are from venom motorsport @ £80 do you recommend other adaptors for

price/performance! Also I'm looking around £3-400 for wheels usually with tyres! Is this the going rate/price!

I've never fitted porsche twists. Find someone who has fitted them to a mk4 golf or something, and follow same style. Or find out the offsets and widths of the porsche wheels and the current width and offsets of your wheels, and the difference will be the adaptors needed to keep same profile.

Eg: Say a rear wheel is 8J, your current wheel is 7J, that's a difference of 12.5 offset (inside and outside) for the same official offset as the wheel is half an inch wider each way. However, if the 8J wheel was ET50 and the 7J wheel was ET30, then the wheel will also be 20mm closer to the inside of the car, so you need 20mm adaptors to keep the same.

Its all a game of offsets and widths, and counteracting issues with strut and arch fouling by getting right spacer size. :)
