Oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That reminds me must get me rear veiw mirror stuck back on :)

Are all Police cars in the UK dressed up like that ???

I thought, only the Royal Military Police over here has neon-coloured cars.

Hell, this "shiny" thing looks to me like a psychedelic 70ies wallpaper .... :fro: :buttrfly: :silly:

( No offense BTW :o )

But on the other hand they seem to be easy to spot....:thumbup::thumbup:

My ex got done for speeding at 42mph through a 30 limit with a fully marked Volvo T5 following her (and she was watching it!)

The problem was I'd just bought her a radar detector the day before and she was sitting waiting for it to go off before slowing down

Unfortunately that is a completely TRUE story.........

Hmmm, maybe that is why she is my ex

Hmmm, perhaps thats the reason she went out with me in the first place? She recogonised a fellow nutter :rofl::rofl:

Strange that the speedos seem to be visible from the passenger seat these days  - they never used to be IIRC

No it's not mine. Imagine the fun watching hapless white van men stamping on the breaks as you surge toward them at  mph.

I was visiting an old friend in Leicester when I spotted it. I blanked out the reg plate incase I got in trouble for posting the pic. they hadn't even bothered to put seat covers on it, so the back seats were covered in essence of scrote.

I also saw a Subaru WRX in silver with full livery today, but it just didn't have the same presence as the Skoda. Don't know why, it just didn't look right.

There is no standard colour scheme for police cars here, although most police forces are now using the "battenberg" livery of blue and yellow chequerboard on a white or silver vehicle, because research has show that it gives high visbility. There are still a lot of vehicles using the older style livery - usually a flourescent yellow or orange stripe down the side of a white vehicle.

Many years ago, when "bobbies" stopped patrolling on foot, and started driving around in cars, some police forces started using "panda" cars (so called because of a fanciful resemblance to the markings on a panda). These were Morris Minors, and were white with blue doors or blue with white doors. To save the expense of a special paint job, police forces bought the cars in pairs - one white and one blue - and simply swapped the doors over.

I never knew that! I remember the cars :o but the door swapping bit is a classic.

Don't some of the other european countries have similar sort of thing? different coloured doors?

Do they work then? :D

There are about 6 marked ones in Leicester now. And there are 4 un-marked ones too.

Do they work then? :D

Of course they work......just like everything on ebay :rofl::rofl:

ps, wanna buy some prime swampland: ideal potential
