Local dealer can't get me a set of rubber mats for my mk1 Octavia! Anyone help me source a set?

Did the dealer look them up using your reg number? If you've got an Elegance 4x4 it may be it came with fabric mats (like the VRS) as standard. They'd need to look up the reg number of a lesser model to get the rubber mats come up - a Classic would be worth a try... search on Autotrader and make a note of reg numbers.

There's a few fitted rubber ones on ebay

Dealers can't get them no more, only fabric ones for the mk1. Will have to eBay them.
