Had it for about ten moths but it was problem after problem so sold it.

Was looking to get a corsa or something and I remembered my big brother talking about fabia vrs', knew nothing about them. Looked into them and that was it, I really wanted one. So after a trip to the bank to rebreak my loan for £7000 I went out and purchased one and have never regretted it.

Had a Range Rover, which was not the most economical for the 44 miles per day work commute, so got the Fabia as a temporary replacement, because it came up at the right time and cheap. I intended keeping it about 6 months, until I found something I liked. (bmw 330/335)

4 Years later, I've still got it!

I had an A4 (B5) TDI 110 that I ran til just over 200k and sold as it wasn't worth the work I'd have needed to do to get it through another MOT.

I got my vRS as I wanted something smaller, similarly economical but a bit more fun to drive. Loving it so far and have been pleasantly surprised by how much nicer other drivers are to a vRS than an Audi.

Mint mk2 Golf gti 16v 3dr in Oak green,if I had the garage space I would have kept it as a summer/occasional use car.

Saw A vrs parked up one day, thought it looked tidy and when I investigated further I was blown away with the spec for the money,so in March 2005 it became the only brand new car I have ever bought,no intention of selling.

Before the first Fabia I had a lovely car - a Freelander V6 - problem was it averaged 22mpg, worst top-up 16mpg, best top-up with very careful driving 27mpg. Here it is on the day I traded it in - and even looking so good I only got £5,500

I was after a fast everyday diesel run about and ended up with this.

Still have the Subaru Impreza type R as my weekend toy. Never sees much daylight TBH as it's mainly a show car.

This was my everyday car for the last 2 years. Can't fault it as I am sure it is bullet proof.

I had a highly modified Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20VT before my Fabia, I had my Ibiza for five years and had got bored and grown out of it, and got sick of the high running costs with fuel bills and high road tax that kept on climbing year after year. I had always had a soft spot for the Fabia and with my longer commute to work and being probaly the best hot hatch diesel around and holding good residual prices after a test drive I knew it's what I wanted. I knew a few mods would be in order also so I would be totally happy.

Exactly the same as you mate. I had the Cupra R at stage 2 with 240bhp, absolutely loved it, but with a new job doing 60 miles a day there was no way I could run it :(

Before that I had 1.0 Saxo (first car), 1.4 16v corsa sport (quick for a 1.4 with lexmaul inlet, full exhaust etc) and a 106 gti. (Really miss the handling)

But I must say i'm really enjoying the Vrs, no where near the power as my Cupra but its still in the same category i like to be in - Not having the same car as everyone else on the road! There's about 300 cars in my work car park and only one other fabia and its a mpi.

ive had a few pugs but i had a passat 52 plate saloon in silver before i had this vrs, I miss the power in the ssat spent a bit on it and when i sold her she had 182bhp and 352f/lbs of torque with a smf and stage 2 clutch because i destroyed the dmf on the rr when it was getting live mapped...

My last car was a saxo vtr, which I really liked. But being in a long distance relationship and having a 300 mile round trip each weekend soon saw the fuel costs rising and I fancied a change

I heard about the Fabia and its tuning potential with just a remap and was hooked.

Still really impressed with it :-)

Before my vRS I had a Seat Leon Cupra TDI, so very similar drivetrain in a slightly bigger chassis.

My reasons for changing were that I was a bit bored of the Leon having had it four years, it was knocking on milage-wise (133k), and it was getting to the point where I should either sell it or commit to keeping it "forever" as if I put many more miles on it it'd make it more difficult to sell. As I was thinking it over, I saw the Awesome yellow Fabia was up for sale and pretty much fell for it straight away, it had all the various bits I might have wanted to do to the Leon eventually (hybrid turbo, RARB, diff, braces, 312mm brakes, nicer than OEM wheels, few other bits) all backed up by a load of Awesome invoices to provide some peace of mind. So I sold the Leon and bought the Fabia, thinking I was buying a totally done car that I wouldn't have to spend any money on. Sadly, the mapping caused problems with the DMF (which wasn't replaced when they fitted the Sachs clutch) and that was on its way out, so I've had to pay out again for a full Sachs/Jabba SMF setup :( hasn't quite been the bargain I thought it'd be, but it's still enjoyable :)

Had a ep3 civic before mine, swapped for a few reasons, spent silly money on tuning it next step up to get any more power would have meant a HUUUGE bill for a supercharger and id had it 2/3 years anyway so fancied a change! and having a young son and doing few miles to work meant a cool looking 5door diesel fitted the bill nicely! ;-]

A-Class Merc.

My mate had a vRS and it was everything I was looking for in my next car. Performance with economy & from the VW stable.

His had leather seats but it seemed all the ones for sale had the awful cloth seats. I couldn't live with those.

Then I spied a vRS SE on a Skoda dealer's forecourt. 2 hours later after a test drive I'd bought it.
