Indeed I would recommend them too, but I really need to get it done this weekend as its already needing change as it crept up on me.

I wonder if he could squeeze me in at this late notice ? I just assumed it would be nigh impossible to be honest to get it fitted in for this weekend, and wouldn't put it past doing it myself as its not challenging just dirty work.

Only thing is where to get 505.01 for a decent price now ? VW$ want £44 ! I've had it before for less than £20. Other than halfrauds, I wonder if there are any motor factors prepared to sell a 505.01 for a reasonable price (IRO £30-35).

Alternatively I've already got around 4l of the Quantum already for my topups, so could probably get 1L and presumably it would mix ok with a 505.01 5w40

My only other minor niggle since Unit 18 moved not as close as you think - 1 hr round trip now for me, albeit I would be prepared to drive that just to have them do work for me to be honest.

I'm sure he could squeeze you in for an oil and filter, give them a call tomorrow and see.

Where in Northants are you? Even a hour round trip is nothing for good service, plenty of people travel a hell of a lot further to get there.
