Red Fabia Gold Wheels?

Featured Replies

I've grown a bit bored of my black spiders

They look great but the intricate detail of spokes (the main point of spiders) is lost in black.

I still can't get the idea of gold out of my head is it wrong that i really want a set of VW Montreal 2's which i can then refurb in gold?

Not my cup of tea I'm afraid, gold looks good on black but dont think it suits red.

Not sure on those wheels, but gold spiders..... DO IT!!!

I swear you had a poll running with gold spiders last time?

I think I'd better remain silent on this one ;)

i think the only way you could pull gold rims off on a red fab is if they was pushed out and then slammed!

Do it they look superb I'm thinking of getting one of the three set of wheels I have for my black furby Vrs painted gold

Regards Whoosh

Think bronze would suit red better

yes i am draggin up old ground that i've explored before the thing is i'm all out of wheels (having sold everything after promising black would be the final change)

i love montreal 2's and haven't seen any on a Fabia for a long long time

I could always run a silver set while I de-black my spiders and refurb them gold?

of course all of this may not get past SWMBO anyways as the car is her daily commute!

hmm what colour wheels should i put on my silver mk2 Ibiza then :D

I was thinking that a nice dark metal flake green would look good on the silver Monte

Big no IMO. Gold works on black in the right situation, but not red.

Did someone suggest gold wheels?...

Works much better with a stripe!

But, I've spoken on gold wheels lots over the years..

I'm surprised a few of the race blue boys haven't already done this.

Perhaps they don't want to seem like they have Scooby envy...

I'm 50/50 on this one Cliff. :wonder:

I know I was predictable and went down the drak grey route with my wheels

but I have to say that they never really look dirty any more. Just less shiny when they need a clean.

Gold would probably start looking grubby after just a few miles and I think you'd

be forever cleaning them.

Just my 2p

I think gold in the standard fabia vrs alloys would look best! Especially with the car lowered a bit :)

Hmmm maybe I should do it then and if it looks crap with red sell them to someone with a black one lol

Haha, after failing on vinyl project I'm trying another experiment but with slightly less exciting white on octys. If that goes well I'm going to attack my other set with bronze/gold with black or chrome lip :D its only paint, what's the worse that could happen.

You have the dreaded "Brimma Virus".

I understand theres no cure. :giggle:

That colour looks good on a black car.

If it was my red fabia, personally i would stear clear of gold i think. I think a silver standard colour but with a flake would be nice though?

I like! But needs more low for it to work properly!
