De-badge my Roomster

Featured Replies

To start with, it was only the "TSI" badge I would remove.

But the "Roomster" badge has also removed. Think it is looking much better.

I am quite happy with it :-)

To start with, it was only the "TSI" badge, but then the big "Roomster" badge also came off.

The "Skoda" badge in the front and bag stays on. I like it as it is now. ( and no body and paint work )

I did the de-badge using hot water, a hair dryer and fishing line. Job done in about 25 min. did not use any knifes, sharp objects, old credit card.

A little rubbing with my thumb and hair dryer and the sticky came of the paint, no scratches on paint.

Finished it of with a little WD40 and a car wash :-)

For me, it was about giving my own car a personal touch and to separating me from the mass.

I to like the De Badged look, things just look that much smoother. Had a Passat before my Roomster and totally de badged that, it looked just that bit different. It turned out to be a selling point, when i sold it, the guy loved it, i got my full asking price. Looked at putting a de badged grill on the Roomster, but nothings simple on them as you know. Only took 5mins to change the Passat grill, Could not get the Grill off the Roomster when i put my day running lights in it. Anyway good job on yours "Togo".

I think it's worth doing because, frankly, Roomster is a pretty embarrassing name.

It's like deja vu. I de-badged my Roomy Scout this evening

Thank you. I really like it. Think that the Roomster badge was way to massive/big.

Yes it is. A more compelling name would be nice :-)

Any pictures? :-)

If you wanted to get the 'skoda' badge off the tailgate, what is the best way to do it without sgratching the surrounding paintwork?

The best is to use hot water and a hair dryer, and then heat is up till you can feel that is hot to touch with you hands.

The badge has to center pins in the middle. Then perhaps use a fishing line and use it like a saw to separate the badge and double sided tape.

Take your time, do not rush it :-)

You could re-use the letters to spell "storm" provided they are separate letters.
