New wheels finally fitted pic heavy

Featured Replies

Well finally got the cayenne winter wheels on the car on saturday but as it took a while they'll only be on a couple of months and the summer wheels will be back on lol, anyway had the tyres fitted on friday by a mate but one of the wheels got marked on the spoke but wheels are a custom colour so no touch up available so i just i got a bmw touch up pen which isnt great but its better than seeing the scratch.

they dont sit great but thats only cos i'm using my adapters for my other porsche wheels and the offsets are higher on these and thought adapters and spacers on top might be a bit dodgy so left them as they are seen as though there only for winter use.

here's some pics

All good from me mate, looks ace.

very cool car you've got mate

Fantastic looking car. I like the way you do your own thing and don't follow the crowd.

There must be less undulations in the roads round you than near me. If I did the Scarborough to Whitby road as my usual pace in your car, I'm sure there'd not be a front bumper by the time I got to Whitby. :D

Keep up the good work. If nothing else, you must be keeping the wheel refurb industry afloat in these hard times.

that look a million times better then i thought it would just seeing the wheels on there own, top marks for being different

Aye looks the part alright, love the regi though

Ugly wheels, I guess those go for the winter.

Looks spot on mate.

What are the side repeaters from? They look cool.

Inspiring as ever buddy. Always love the evolution of change you do.

Looks ace as ever :)

sorry..... *Chav voice activated* . that looks fkin sick bruv!! *chav voice deactivated!

I like this muchly.. think it needs to be lower tho! :p

Like the wheels... not sure about the height though, doesn't it handle like s**te being that low? I loved it when it was in Transformers mode though

Thanks for the comments guys and to be honest the roads round hull are pretty crap and there are speed ramps everywhere and you know which routes to avoid but you just get used to hearing it scrape and doesnt bother me anymore, just wish the bumper was the main problem but unfortunately the subframe is the biggest issue and takes the biggest hits and I do want it to be lower if I can but it's literally mm's at a time now and as for the handling it's fairly smooth cos with it having no helper springs fitted, you end up using more of the damper rather than bottoming out the shocks and as for handling at speed then I don't know as it cant really be driven too hard, but it will never be used on a track anyway and it's never ended up in a ditch so far so all good

Oh and forgot to say to rk696 that the marker lights are us spec mk4 golf/jetta ones

Very very nice,

Even looks fast standing still lol.

A very unique looking car

Absolutely stunning... The roads round here (glasgow) would demolish it !

Really nice wheels , just a bit dark for me and hilariously low. :giggle:

Thanks again guys, good to see mainly positive input as I'm still not completely struck on them but as there an unloved wheel there readily available and pretty cheap which is good and they will do for winters, for now at least lol

well,i dont see anything wrong in that set.

car looks sweet.

very cool sir

question: how did you tint your taillight? foil or spray-on?

Cheers

B

there are many ways.i painted my taillights. dsmithmobiles lights seems to be painted?

  • Author

Cheers guys and yes tail lights are painted, just a bit of black paint mixed into laquer gives a smoke effect and the amount of coats you give will determine how dark they are and they end up with a nice gloss finish too

Looking good as always bud!

I can't wait to get my summer porky's on, come on summer lol :)

well im a fan! looking good but i couldnt drive the car that low. Stance looks amazing for standing still though!
