Negative bank balance

Talking of negative bank balance - I've just bought 4 genuine 996 Turbo anti-squeal shims. £17 each for shims. Thanks Porsche. :(

God I hope they work. So sick of the noise.

How's the ride comfortability with that air suspension? I'm wondering, if it is more comfortable than normal coilovers of H&R's and FK's etc? Also have you notched the frame and is the ARB still in place?

I kept my ARB and didn't notch. If I'd have kept it for another year I'd have notched as it annoyed me how it sat lop sided when fully dropped. Ride quality is great at a sensible ride height (or lower!), but is firm when running higher pressures (high ride height). Overall it's definitely more comfortable than coilovers.

My complete air setup is boxed up in excellent condition and will be up for sale within the next couple of weeks. It comprises:

Air Lift slam series air struts
Air Lift performance series rear air springs
VIAIR 444C compressor
SMC water trap
Air Lift Autopilot v2 management
Accuair skinny 5 gallon aluminium tank

Dorbritz Designs brackets to let you use the Air Lift front struts with your standard ARB droplinks.

All relevent miscellaneous fittings

Ok. Where did you install the compressor and do you have any pics of the installation? How was the noise of the compressor and how often did it run?

Compressor, water trap and v2 management (combined ecu / manifold) hidden away from view in the area behind the flap on left hand side of the boot, where the cd multichanger used to live (pre facelift luxury feature!). All four air lines easy to run behind trim around car from that point. There are convenient grommets to drop through at the rear just behind the arches. Front lines run along with my audio / power cabling through the left hand sill and up behind glove box, then secured down along inside of scuttle panel. Surprisingly easy to install tbh.

Not sure if I have any photos. I'll have a look.
