Will we? Won't we?

Featured Replies

Hello to all.

The Yeti seems to be the only current mid-size diesel 4x4 offering an auto box and enough grunt to deal with a fairly hefty caravan, with the possible exception of the more-expensive Freelander 2. I'm sure there is a wealth of experience here in this forum, though, so I'm going to be having a good hunt round before placing that nine-months-in-advance order.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi and welcome aboard.

No, do not get a Freelander, company has small fleet under 4 year old that are constantly in for repair, wheel bearings, diffs and oil leaks, these vehicles are never used off road (our site is up a remote road and 4x4s for winter access) and still fall to bits.

Ex work mate bought a Discovery recently (almost 40k) and is in the process of rejecting it as L/R have had it longer than him, one day he collected it after a repair and it was recovered again that night.

edit

Octavia and Superb also available in 4x4 with much the same engine choices.
