Hill Hold and VCDS

Featured Replies

For those who have asked if hill hold control can be enabled with a few pokes in VCDS - the answer is no.

You need G251 - longitudinal acceleration sensor.

You also need a slightly different controller to allow HHC to work - sorry folks!

I found the option to turn it on and promptly did. 2 errors came up, first one was G251 needing basic setting. Tried that but didn't happen as it isn't fitted.

Second fault was an incorrect control module. Maybe down to the missing G251 or simply not the right controller for the job.

In summary, those of you who were hoping it would be a bit of VCDS jiggery pokery: sorry but it's more complicated than that.
