hi all following on from my previous thread I'm going to look at a 57 plate octavia vrs so i need to know what to look out for mechanically and if there are any common faults?

Is it a pd or cr or petrol

if all looks ok then I cant think about anything to worry about other than your fuel bill and speed cameras lol

cam belt and water pump need doing at 4 years or 60k and check that the esp works as its common fault

And look at the back tyres they might be worn on the inside which isn't that easy to see.

I'd check disks all round as they are probably getting close to needing changed if they've not been done already.

4yr service is also a big one if it's not been done yet.
