Could someone elaborate on this CG lock, what makes it so special?

Went on their website and just got terribley confused by this photo

Right now theres some s3 seats on ebay... £550 half leather with white alcantara! Would look immense in a vrs.... Only need a wet vac and they'd look tremendous!!

Yeah I'm watching those on fleebay but now I'm steering towards a seat surgeons re-trim and a cg lock.

I am also watching it!

Could someone elaborate on this CG lock, what makes it so special?

It holds you tight in the seat by making the lap part of the belt super tight, that stops you sliding all over the place (which is very easy with the VRS slippery seats) so you can concentrate on steering rather than gripping the wheel like a madman and bracing yourself against the side of the seat in tight corners.

also stop you bouncing out of the seat on a bumpy roller-coaster roads (lofting, as the off-roaders call it)

Very good for those with dodgy backs, as it keeps your arse wedged into the back of the back of the seat, keeping posture correct

I think these are the closest match to the RS2000 recaros I had in my Escort and they were amazing!

Are the cupra r seats any different to the octy seats?

It fixes on to the plastic seat belt buckle. it has two lips which are held together with hex head screws that hold it to the buckle and it has a sprung roller and slide bar which hold on to the belt:

Yes mate, they are cloth and iirc have bigger boulsters, i think they are more like the GTi recaros?

they also did a option leather one too but are even more rare than the R32 seats.

Has anyone had any experience fitting recaro seats from the Ford family in to a Mk 1 Octy VRS? I have seen some good condition Mk5/6 Escort RS2000 recaros in good condition for a reasonable price. I was wondering if they could be made to fir the Octy with out major problems.

owt can be made to fit with some fabrication including welding
