But from the site you showed me these were on a pretty decent price:

Are they any good? And would my ride lower alot?

Just called the dealer for Skoda in Iceland and asked about the spring, a single front spring would cost me about 130 pounds, ridiculous!

For a standard front spring? That's a lot! I know the standard suspension is quite expensive if you have the whole lot done, I think it was going to be £400+fitting on mine so I went for coilovers instead which were £600 fitted. No idea what the springs are like, I've only ever had coilovers or standard shocks and springs.

I think mine has gone a few days ago has well - only driven the car a few hundred yards but was getting a loud twanging from the front end.

Gonna jack it up this weekend to get a better look, but was planning on replacing with some H&R 20mm springs.

Yes, that seems to be a quite popular choice of springs..

I had a look at those, but couldn't work out if they were going to be close to stock.

In the end I paid £170 for a pair at the dealers.

i think 1 of mine is broken. noticed today the ride height is pished. Coilovers is what i normally go for, but very tempted for springs. I assume theres a kit for vRS estates as the rear height is more on than the hatch?

gsf do the stock springs for the vrs mk1 :)

My front went a few weeks ago as well. Made a nice twang as i pulled out of the drive.

Thought best to check them all and found a rear had gone as well - not sure how long it had been like it.

Decided to just change them all and got 4 + 2 new top mounts form local auto factors.

The springs were £30+vat each - they were kflex and said volkswagen beetle on them.

As long as you have spring compressors the rears are easy to change.

The fronts aren't bad but you need a deep ring spanner and 7mm allen key.

I'm getting the KYB one's (http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1169wt_1398) because there is a shop here that sell's them for a decent price (50% cheaper then at the dealers!)
