Towing a caravan with a Felicia

Featured Replies

I'm playing about with the idea of getting a caravan. I have a 1.3 V-reg Felicia estate that came with a tow bar fitted. It can tow 900kg braked. I do have a towing licence, and have towed with this car before.

Am I being mad to consider something like this? http://www.thecaravancompany.com/used-caravan-for-sale.php?secondhandCaravan=564DD41AC547F8FC802579AD0043468A

Thanks! :)

Go for it I have towed lots behind my old 1.6 estate including a sierra 4X4 rallycar for 150 miles, it will be slow up hills etc but as long as you load it right then it would be fine.

I would recommend an antisnake bar tho they do make the job easier behind a light car.

Hi, I had a V reg 1.3 estate but never towed with it. Based on my experience I agree, but be mindful of gradients as that's where it will feel the strain. Planning a longer journey in my old Type 2 VW camper always involved avoiding anything too serious gradient wise, it hated them!

Proceed with care will be the order of the day.

i pulled a golf gti mk3 behind mine slow on hills just rember breakes are poor not towing...
