Yeti gets a work out

Featured Replies

Drove Yeti (110) through fog and rain tonight from Ambleside to St. Bees via Little Langdale, Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass. Took an hour and five minutes - locals will no doubt appreciate that's good going by anyone's standard.

Was absolutely amazed with its handling - hugged the tight bends and was more than responsive heading up the steep bits. Wouldn't normally drive like a loon but I did a similar drive in a Discovery I once had and it wallowed about like a motor boat. Cornering fogs and Xenons were really useful.

The downside was when I switched off the fogs and went back to auto-lights - twice I plunged myself into total darkness which is not good on those twisty fell roads in the middle of no where!

All in all, well chuffed even if I haven't had the chance to have a 'play' with it in the snow this year.

I am very jealous of the drives you can take, I got to go from Thanet to Rochester today, boring Motorway and horrific town driving.

Glad your liking the Yeti, I love night time driving(without the glare of so many others) the cornering xenon's are heaven, i haven't had to use the fogs yet, but the problem of changing from auto lights has concerned me,

I have been waiting(hoping) for a job application at a certain power generating facility near by to be accepted, but nothing so far, then I can enjoy the scenery all the time, rather than getting my Tent ripped to shreds at the caravan site at st Bees!
