Is removing side strips same as debadgeing?

Is there any holes or is it just glue?

Anyone done this? How does it look? And how was the paint underneath?

Some people have issues with the paint bubbling underneath

Wanted to try something different. If everyone has had problems when removing the strip then I probably will colour code. just want to hear experiences as I want to remov them as my first option
