You can see in this pic there are plastic tabs around the back that hold it in:

From the back you should be able to gently prise the tabs up one at a time and slowly work it out.

I had a thought...

I wonder what it would look like if you turned the 3 piece grille into a two piece grille? So what you do is put filler in the gap where the Chrome and the painted grille is so it looks like one piece?

i thought it was that rob. I did try them but i must of been to gentle! haha im going to the garage!

I've done mine with plastidip, (ebay buy) did it 2 years ago, still looks smart. Applied straight on the chrome.

I have a very friendy briskie trial paint a grille for me

He is trying some model paint or sumin, so i am guinea pig

He is nuts

Mines all done now and fitted. Ill post some pics up tonight once the mrs has gone to work.

Haven't done mine yet (though I intend to), but I did my old Volvo grill without removing the chrome, just keying it, and spraying with Temaspray (paint by Tikkurila), and after 4 years, not a single chip or dull mark on it. Went slighly less matt over the years from washing though.

Quality of the paint makes all the difference.
