Headlight protectors or lamin-x with xenons?

I think lamin-x will stop them shattering and falling out but not cracking etc. Whereas, headligth protectors will take the brunt of the hit and are a lot cheaper than new xenons.

That's the reason I use them, Because they sit 3-4mm off the lens, Any object hitting them with enough force to break them will have expended it's energy so saving the lamp

Lamin-X will just hold the lens together but the lamp would still receive the full force of the impact!

And if you apply a good coat of polish to the lenses and the protectors any dirt will wash away when you clean the car and it takes seconds to remove them for periodic proper clean.

As for appearance, Stand 1 metre from the front of the car and unless you're looking for them you'll not notice them!

None of the above. Get a cheaper version of Lamin X?
