Alfa 145 1.6 Twinspark.

Bought it 17/02/12 as a run about and as I've always wanted to own an Alfa. Two weeks like it died :(

Was running fine apart from small mis-fire which was explained as just needing a spark plug change. Then on the way home from work it let out a nice big puff of blue smoke, just the one big puff. Got me back home under powered and mis firing up to 4th gear. Later in the evening it would not start back up and has been sitting in the road since.

Its lost compression in cylinder 4(?) (under 2 bar) and spark plug is very oily and will not turn start up just turns over ut does not fire. Oil has not mixed with water as far as I can see.

Looking to get whatever I can back for it and the local pick up savage/scrap dealer has offered £200 which seem fair but anything I can get back would be great.

MOT until 28th of october and taxed till the end of the month.

Its in blue and has a few dents on the body work (I wasn't worried as it was being used for work parked in a depot). Air con works and is nice and cold but fan only works on max speed. lights, horn, brakes, wipers, locks etc all work. Indicator (signally right) has a slight dodgey connection and doesn't always work unless you press the trim on the steering colum in.

Lesson learnt.....................................do not buy an Alfa!!
