body shop in shropshire area.

Featured Replies

Hi all was just wondering if anybody knows of a good spray shop in the telford / Shropshire area.

My front bumper and off side wing was sprayed two years ago, after my mother decided to have an argument with a post.

I was never happy with the finish, and now the paint is peeling. Also some very nice person decided to crack my rear bumper in asda and then drive off.

So if anyone knows of a body shop that will not charge the earth but do a good job please let me know.

Many thanks.

A good bodyshop that won't charge the earth - those 2 things don't go together.

I can however tell you to avoid Betta Bodies on Stafford Park. They repaired a van at work that should have been written off. It was awful and all misaligned (looked like the front end was hanging off). Took it back and manager simply said we must have hit a kerb with the bumper. Most arrogant tw@ i have ever met.

Paint Master on Stafford park seem to get good rep round here but never seen a car repaired by them.

If you want a flawless finish you need to go to Shorade in Cannock - Expensive but worth it IMO. (www.shorade.co.uk).

SHC Autobodies in Shrewsbury did a cracking job on my brothers 58 plate BMW after he got rear-ended, worth a call

where abouts exactly are you as i run a network of bodyshops and can put you in touch with one that will look after you.

RSC Bodycentre in Market Drayton are pretty good.

Lee Gasson (Bert Smith Way) in Market Drayton is good too.

Tudor Body Repairs (Also in MD) are probably the best in town, but not cheap!

when you speak to the estimator tell them Lee from fleet support group has sent you.

At Tesco if you say your car was damaged in the car park they will access the situation and normally pay out for the damage. Asda may do the same in which case you may be able to get them to do the other bits at the same time.

The car park damage was done about a year ago. Just haven't got around to fixing it.

Got quote from autocraft £730 seams a little steep to me.

Will do some more shopping around.

Autocraft did a cracking job on my motor top class service and guartantee there work would definately use again, if it was me and looking to keep the car I wouldn't touch a back street garage but as philp W said tudors and Lee gason in Market Drayton have good reputations in the town but won't be cheap depends on what finish your after I suppose
