I purchased a 6 month old octy Vrs two months ago and it's back in the dealers next week for a minor repair (leaking door seals). I was wondering if I would be able to ask them to activate a couple of things on the car for me but not even sure if the car has these functions. They are-

Coming home lights

Cornering fogs

Auto door locking when you reach a certain speed

Can anyone tell me if these functions are available and if so do you think the dealer would activate them for me?

Cheers

Neil

The auto door locking (anti hijack) is an easy one for them.

Cornering fogs on the vRS can only be activated by VCDS I believe. VCDS is aftermarket software that allows increased access compared to the dealers system.

Not sure about coming home headlights, I think for this feature to work your car needs to have the auto wipers/lights sensor on the top of the windscreen otherwise the car doesn't know if its dark and the lights come on during the day when you lock/unlock.

Hi silver

Thanks for your response. Coming home lights I'm not to fussed about. The anti hijack and. Or wring fogs are something I really wanted so good to know they a it ate the anti hijacking however if the dealer can't activate the cornering fogs wher and how would I get this done? Is it a costly process??

Thanks in advance

Check the owners list in Diagnostics and VCDS Neil, another member should be able to help you for a small price. I have genuine VCDS Iam in Newcastle if you are anywhere near.

Thanks for the advice. I will look at the owners section later on to find a VCDS owner around me. Thanks very much for the offer but Newcastle is a little way too far considering I'm in south Wales lol.
