Diagnostic error code 19534

Featured Replies

Hi guys, past 2 weeks, she seems to have lost a bit of power. Turbo spools up nicely upto 3k, hits a flat spot, then takes off again at 4k. This happens in all gears.

This is the code scanned: 19534-Throttle control airflow at idle too low.

Turbo & N75 valve were replaced about 15k miles ago (turbo was very noisy and then the car was kangarooing, N75 cured this).

Any ideas what could cause this, any help would be much appreciated.

The throttle body probably needs a good clean.

+1 on a TB clean. how many miles has the car done, have you cleaned the throttle body since you've had it?

The car has just clocked 100k, to my knowledge, it has never been cleaned. Is it an easy job to do?

Thanks for the quick replies.

Hi guys

Finally got round to cleaning the throttle body. It was sticking and not opening fully. It was filthy. Gave it a good clean and the difference was amazing. Drove perfect for a couple of days then started to drive like crap again. Cleaned it out again but made no difference. I didn't disconnect it from the car. It now moves smoothley & opens all the way.

Have since done over 400 miles but the engine just doesn't sound right. Revs are still jerky under acceleration. She doesn't shift like she used to and you don't hear the sweet note from the turbo anymore.

Is the maf sensor the next stop or a split pipe? She was fully serviced 6 months ago. Any advice guys...

Disconnect the MAF and see if it seems to run better in general use. If the MAF is good you won't notice much difference at low/medium load/revs but at high load/revs (accelerating up a hill at 70 in 5th) it will be worse.
