Octy MK1 VRS Lowering Help

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, Newbie with a question. Ive just bought myself a standard MK1 VRS Octy and im looking to lower it, Not after a crazy drop, 30mm would be enough to close up the arch/tyre gap and make it look meaner. Right now im slightly confused as to why a lowering kit for a 1.8T (Non VRS) will not fit??

Can anyone shed any light on which springs will fit and a decent price, Ideally sub £100.

I also understand Golf MK4 springs will fit or have I been given wrong information?

Any help would be much appreciated as Ive seen a set on eBay (£65 delivered) but says excludes VRS/Estate and basically wondering why if the spring design on all models is the same.

Cheers

Golf springs will fit but will be the wrong spring rates for the extra weight of the Skoda.

vRS suspension is the same as standard except that the front strut has an extra connection for the front ARB. as far as I know springs are the same.

H&R -20mm springs seem to be the ones to go for. That's 20mm drop from the vRS height or 35mm from standard.

I have been offerd from a old school friend a pair of brand new rear spax springs. I`m looking around the net and only finding sellers of full sets, any ideas where I could get a pair of front spax springs from? Cheers!!!
