VRS front Splitter - Fitted

Featured Replies

Thought I'd get on with it as the weather is awesome ! :sun:

The splitter is really well finished, the surface is smooth and pretty glossy. I like the way it fits as well.

It comes with 10 self tappers and an adhesive (be warned, it's the stickiest, gunkiest gloop EVER) so have some rags and cleaner. I used the trusty Isopropanol.

I did use a little too much adhesive and if I look really close on the 'corner' by the arches, it has squeezed out a little. I'm being very picky here, but don't use too much

Sorry for the lack of pictures, but once again, with this very messy adhesive, you'd need 2 people to record a step by step.

I glued the areas in contact with the spoiler and propped the splitter up with cardboard boxes and masking tape until it dried completely. That took 2 hours and it was completely cured.

Then used the self tappers. They have a drill end and are great even without a pilot hole.

The ride height is OK. It's a clear 5" from the groung (even with my H&Rs) and I have tested it over the red concrete ramps. Clears them easily. All in all, I'm happy.

Looks pretty good, not 100% convinced, but I like it!

Over sized LCR splitter?

its on super skoda atm. looks pretty good if ya ask me. somewhat like the lcr one.

wrap that mofo in carbon fibre!!! now!!

Looks great from the side but not crazy about how it looks from the front. Probably I'm put off from the side edge that come out further than the body. Overall it is an enhancement.

So no screws just glue holds this?

10 self tappers as well as the adhesive. The sides of the splitter don't protrude past the wheels & tyres, even though they initially look wide.

It was tough to get some good shots with the light today, but hope you get the idea. I completely understand the guys who are not sold on this splitter, but as the saying goes, no guts, no glory :giggle:

It looks good - good thing the abs plastic is satin black. It almost looks painted and fits nicely with the rest of the black parts of the car.

!!!!PLEASE BE CONSCIOUS OF SPEED BUMPS AND OTHER OBSTACLES!!!

Happy miles with it :)

Meh! black is fine.

Black looks miles better, I think I am put off by the slightly too wide bits on the edge...

looks great black

Looks good

Really like that  , thanks for all the pics

My bets are if that car was a transformer then that would be its sword :giggle:

  • Or for a more subtle look, fit one from a Greenline!

carbon wraped maybe?

The VRS spoiler is completely different from the Greenline. There really isn't much choice as far as splitters go. There's the BT one (which is ace) but costs 3 times the price.

As far as a 'carbon wrap' goes, I'm not a fan of that. I feel it would look just too false, either real carbon or not.

If carbon wrapping was to be done, it would have to be done before the splitter was fitted I feel.

It does look good buddy!! :)

I'm thinking maybe you should get some skirts maybe? ;)

Yeah, it's probably on the cards, but need to do some research on this one. Some skirts can make the car look very 'slab sided' as the Fabia has tall sides in the first place. There are some really nice options, but skirts have to be professionally prepared, trial fitted, painted, finished and fitted.

Typically, that would cost about £400 all in.

Reviving this thread since I've also fitted that lip and are looking for side-skirts...

Those Milotec actually look good since I have some plans which involves widening the wheel-house ;)!
