Have you got the standard wheels??? Where are you??

If you have the original wheels, and you sell it with them, then I would be interested in those wheels as they are New Beetle wheels.

Hi,

Being very realistic, what is this like on fuel?

What is she Mapped to?

Was the Pick up pipe ever done on it ? ( They do give trouble don't they?)

My son has a '01 Toledo tdi he is trying to sell as he wants a vRS Mk1,

I would have no problem going over from Ireland to buy one but I would need a good idea of fuel consumption.

His driving would be approx 60 mile daily trip to and from College daily = 300 miles

Not motorway so a bit of traffic etc.

He then does on average 200 per weekend going to his Girlfriend's so all in all around 500 ~ 600 per week.

I will say he drives like a Granny as I have been told by several friends that see him on the road.

Thanks for any advice you can offer

Fuel wise if you go by online figures its a combined of 35mpg aslong as its got a decent map and you dont have a heavy right foot you should be able to stay well above 30 mpg not like me with my old one that used to average 16mpg but i have s very heavy foot and was running 340bhp. Lovely cars would definately recommend! And this one is a very nice example!

For 5-600 miles a week i wouldn't opt for a fast petrol. A full £70 tank will get you 350-400 miles dependant on driving. Your son would be looking at £100 a week fuel costs :o

I do not find mpg that bad tbh, I was seeing around 24mpg with the 18"s but since switching back to the 17"s I am seeing 27/28.

Yes but 24mpg doing 600miles a week isnt good!

For that mileage id be looking at getting a polo/golf bluemotion
